To just add another series with the same rules makes no sense at all.
To have a new rules package series would be a good move.
AR tires -98 Octane fuel, spec shock.........
That would be the only reason to start a new series.
On the other hand if it's not a series just a way to sell tires and pay out some money, GREAT!.

Dog Hollow signed!Actually, you are wrong about 2 of the tracks: PPMS and McKean are Rush sanctioned. Also, Dog Hollow will be Rush sanctioned next year most likely(they had a rules meeting there last Sunday afternoon).
Also, Eriez is Fastrak sanctioned.
So, that's 4 of your 8 tracks out the window already.

The tire price is roughly the same as a Hoosier crate tire. While the deal may put some bucks in a few guys pockets it only promotes unsanctioned crate racing at tracks that do little if any tech. These tracks ride off the backs of Fastrak or RUSH as far as rules and engine seals go. Without at least the threat of being pulled down and the consequences that come with being illegal its pretty much run what ya brung. I heard that was pretty much the deal at Dog Hollow and Marion Center last year anyway.

raceway 7 ran all three last year, but most ran ar's. they wore great, and fired till cords showed. I was impressed how good they were. this helps us at my home track. no traveling, just race. we still get teched, but just show up from night to night. I like sanctions too, so we will see where this goes....

It is all about tire sales. Last years open tire rule was great for the racers, but not for tire sales. This year you cannot use your left over tires from last year, but instead have to spend $150 per tire for 6 or 7 tires and hope to pick up some point money at the end of the season.

I think this is a great thing they are doing, Keeping everything local. If it wasn't for Lias and those guys coming up with this, There will probably will be no crates series at these local tracks. Fasttrak and Rush just want to see how much money they can suck out from the local racers. Those series have one thing in mind, how much money can they benefit from it.

I would love to hear the explanation of how these series suck the money out of us local racers. Please do tell.......

And just how many $1,200-$1,500 to win races would there be for the crate engine cars if it wasn't for FASTRAK & RUSH?? The traditional Limited Late Model classes had very few $1,000 win races before the series came along!! And if FASTRAK had not come to the area in 2005, would we even have crate engine racing?? Ditto the UEMS for the E-Mods and the BRP for the big blocks. Granted the various series usually ups the "cost" of racing but I would think that is more than off-set by the purses the bigger races offer.
