Maybe AR can bump the point fund up to 100k ,ban American Racer tires from the series AND provide teams with free unlimited rush or fastrack tires of their choice !!!! Or does that still put the Hoosier guys at a disadvantage because they are used to running for Hoosier money not AR money and mentally it might take too big of a toll on them to concentrate ....

would the cars have to display American racer stickers to be eligible at that point? Cause the colors may not go with the wraps on the hoosier cars.

Pete it's because the crate his with a lot of money tell this fairy tale that a 1200 will outlast a 1600 on a brick hard track and promoters who get a cut of tire sales go along with it. Crates should be ungrooved , unsiped 1600's or ar 56's period !!!

well, we run raceway 7 and eriez every week. we got 2nd in points at 7 and got 1200 bucks. winner got 2000. so we got a shot at 7000 next year.no traveling, just racing. yes, I like it. eriez ran fastrak, and we got 3rd there. and a chance at all there money. I like what we are doing right now. travel if we want, but stay local most times.

It is all about tire sales. Last years open tire rule was great for the racers, but not for tire sales. This year you cannot use your left over tires from last year, but instead have to spend $150 per tire for 6 or 7 tires and hope to pick up some point money at the end of the season.

While I do think it this move is primarily about tire sales it is not because of the open tire rule last year and using up used AR tires last year. Dog Hollow and Marion Center were both FASTRAK sanctioned in the years before. Lias tire and AR were making NO money off of the crate cars. They were at least making some last year with some of the deep pocket teams buying new tires every now and then. I think they saw the opportunity and potential with the guys running AR's with open tire rule. Defintely a great move by Lias and AR but still unfavorable to some of the racers running on a budget.

I have not been able to locate the Official Website / Rule Book for the CARS 2015 series. Does anyone know the URL?

An online site will be up in the coming weeks. As for a rule book the only changes from any other crate program is the tire rules. An official rule book will be released at a later date.

Next, Hoosier will announce the release of its new "1200 crate tire". Illegal to use in fastrak and Rush events, but legal to run against the ar 44s at cars events. See where this is going? There's pros and cons. AR has every right to enter the market and they're probably smart allowing a tire that will beat a Hoosier crate tire on most surfaces. Not good for everyone though. Let it play out and we will see I guess.

Blame RUSH and FASTRAK for the creation of CARS.   AR wants to sell crate tires.   They can't because RUSH and FASTRAK have chosen to only use one brand.    If they allowed both brands, there would be no CARS!

Honestly it's the disengenous promoters that cause it to be 1 brand..... The advertise to draw cars in with their " point fund " acting like its money out of their pocket when it reality it's money from the tire company .....
