You know, you've got to be professional in the way you approach this, if you're a stock racer at Lernervile. If you approach them the way people are whining here, it actually makes the decision easier for them, because nobody wants to deal with a pile of whiny bitches.
Apparently, Risch, Jr. was presented with facts and figures in a civil manner and dismissed it all out of hand, which then begged the question, why?
Why the need for a change? And the only logical answer is what has spawned the hell rasing. I happen to believe that Lernerville Speedway as a corporate entity must be getting money out of the deal. If they are not, then Gary personally is, which I think is more likely because of first hand accounts of some discussions I have heard. One of the things that will tell me whether the track is getting the money or Gary is is who the division sponsor will be be next year and into the future.
As far as dealing with whiny little bitches? Seriously? I have been in the pits many times and the fact is that bitching and whining, no matter the division, is the norm rather than the exception. And getting a pile of cash isn't going to make whining and bitching go away. It just makes it easier to put up with.
I've been in the pits at MCS and heard many people say that the 4-cylinder teams caused more problems for management than the rest of the classes combined. Interesting to note that for a few years, they had, by far, the highest car count out of any of the other divisions and were only dropped after their numbers fell off. So let's not kid ourselves. The whining and bitching as it relates to this Crate rule has less than zero to do with why it is being implemented. It is all about Sweeney Chevrolet/RUSH/Vikki Emig cash up front, bottom line.
I want Lernerville to succeed, but I make no apologies for calling this what it is, a virtual back-stabbing. Business related? Absolutely, but there is no convincing me it is best for business. I've said it before and I'll say it again; this bullshit is much bigger for Miss Piggy than it is for Lernerville; she needs the spotlight that Lernerville provides more than the other way around. Make no mistake though, she could care less about anything other than her bottom line. If this thing crashes and burns, and I think it will, I hope those that decided to support it remember that.
