He has health problems and wants to focus on getting himself better. That is why he is stepping back nothing more nothing less. Hopes to get back involved one day later down the road once he feels a lot better.

At $35 a ticket, will there be enough cars for a bmain at Working Man 50, or just see 3 hts and 50 lapper? Ridiculous price for that show.

Walt nailed it, super late model racing around here is pretty much on life support. It doesn't matter what you pay, you will not get that many cars in this day and age. Back in the 90s if you paid 5 grand to win, you'd have 50 cars. I think a lot of the problem is guys like Geisler, Bradich, Banal, Baker, etc have gotten out of racing and there is no new young talent coming in to replace those who are hanging up the helmet. If you pay attention when you go to the tracks, a majority of the people in the stands are older folks. You don't see many youngsters in the stands anymore. Without the next generation coming along, racing is going to be in a bad way I'm afraid. Everyone wants to complain about crates, rules etc, but the biggest problem I see is a fan base that is getting older and when they stop going to the races who will actually be there? Another issue that this board plays right into is people love to complain about anything and everything. It's funny, whenever there is a good night at a track nobody cares to say anything about it but if its too dusty, freight train racing etc you sure do hear about it on here.

Disagree....   Eriez had 25 or 26 on a Sunday, and they were missing 5-6 cars locally that would/should have raced....  Lernerville should get a least 25-30 cars, IF the weather isn't shaky....   That does have an imact... Time will tell....   I mean it's $750 to Start, which isn't bad by any means..

The 1c is sitting. It was known they had a motor issue. They reportedly got it back weeks ago. So, who knows what's going on there.

i agree, smaller tracks produce ten times the racing big tracks have......jmo........eriez show sunday would blow away any race near here, including lernerville.....that was an awesome race.....

Amen 94.3....I love dirt track racing in general but any division running on any smaller track is better for the fans and the drivers except if you're always getting the pole for the feature and can run away from everyone else...

Over 7000 views and it shows me people care about Lernerville. Unfortunately there are few business owners that listen to what the people that support them want. Many go down a path that eventually cannot be turned around. Nobody knows what there +/- is on a weekly basis. Everyone of us can have a opinion but that +/- is what business is about.

It's easy to spend other people's money. Most of the suggestions many of you make cost money.  The new owners are business people, why would you expect they wouldn't run their racetrack like a business.   All in all, it was a very good year of racing at Lernerville.  I'm not sure what it would take to please some of you folks.

I wonder if tracks would sponsor reading programs in schools and give away a ticket if it wouldn't get new people to the track.

In Lernerville's case they already let kids 10 and under in fo Free so the cost would be minimal but might bring new folks out.

Just a thought to get younger people there.

Sure am.

My kid gets stuff from Pizza Hut and we end up at Pizza Hut because he earned it.

Track wins because they get good publicity and more business. School wins because it's an incentive for kids to learn.

Late models are dead around here and have nobody to race with because of the cars crate racing took from it and all you now have left is the few who can afford or build their own engines.  The simple solution for Lernerville's Late Model car count is to give crates a weight break.

Is there anything in the rules which prevents crates from running at Lernerville?  With only 12 Supers there last night wouldn't make the feature money for crates be a much better payout then a regular crate race?  You can run a 360 with 410 sprints any time you want why don't crates go where the money is and fill the fields for Late races?

You can even run a 305!!!!   I would think some rules that would help the crates run with the supers at Lernerville would be good for all.  More cars for the fans, more cars for the back gate and better racing!!   If, and maybe that is a BIG IF,  PPMS is in their last season, there are going to be a lot of crate engine cars from the Pittsburgh looking for someplace to race!!   Roaring Knob and W. Va. are possibilities, but The Knob appears to be as shaky as PPMS!!      I did get your message.

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!

Walt
